L’EDIFICIO PIÙ GREEN È QUELLO CHE ESISTE GIÀ, NON DEMOLIRE È UNA SCELTA SOSTENIBILE
Il progetto proposto per il MacKimmie Complex dell’Università di Calgary nasce dalla volontà di non demolire il vecchio edificio per riutilizzarne la struttura portante. Secondo i progettisti la vera innovazione in architettura è sfruttare il calcestruzzo esistente, minimizzando così le emissioni.
Il progetto sta per ottenere la certificazione secondo lo standard Zero Carbon Building del Canada Green Building Council.
